Tony made the right choice

Spring Awakening received the most Tony nominations this year - 11 - and rightfully so. In addition to almost everything, it is nominated for Best Musical, which it's surely going to win. I predict that, like last year's Jersey Boys, this show is going to blow up after the Tony's.

That's why it's awesome that James, Anna, and I already have tickets for early July!

I saw the show in March and it blew me away. It's incredibly moving, with beautiful music and a killer cast. Aside from the two parent characters, no one in the cast is over the age of 24. These kids are phenomenal and totally rock the stage. I'm so happy for them because this cast is going to sweep the Tonys and is going to be the hottest thing on Broadway. And they deserve it.

All they say is “Trust in what is written.”
Wars are made, and somehow that is wisdom
Thought is suspect and money is their idol
And nothing is okay unless it’s scripted in their Bible
But I know there’s so much more to find
Just in looking through myself and not at them
-"All That's Known" Spring Awakening
